Catherine Hoobler was born in 1795. She married Peter Briner in 1821. He was born in PA in 1786.   Peter and Catherine left Fountain County, Indiana in 1856. They traveled to Marion County, IN along with their sons William and Phillip, and their daughter Margaret and her husband Jacob Baker.  In the next year, 1857, Peter & Catherine and their son-in-law Jacob Baker died. They were buried in Marion Cemetery close to Attica, IN. When driving across Interstate 74 in Fountain County, you drive across Peter Briner’s land.

Mary Catherine Briner was born 1842 in Indiana. She married Henry C. Dutton September 30, 1862 in Vermillion County, IN.

Margaret Briner was born 1822 in Indiana. She married Jacob Baker December 12, 1850 in Fountain County, IN.

John Briner was born February 28, 1822. He died September 3, 1892 in Fountain County, IN. He married Abigail Riley on February 4, 1847. Abigail was the daughter of Benjamin and Hannah Riley. John Briner was a very prominent man. He bought and sold land for many years. John owned a livery, barn & stable, land along the south side of the rail road tracks, and he and father Peter Briner at one time owned half of the town of Veedersburg. John also owned land adjoining his father’s land along what is now known as Interstate 74, the land crossed while traveling thru Fountain County, IN.

Mary Alice Briner was born May 3, 1857 in Indiana. She married Author Rome Hershberger January 24, 1877.

Thomas Alonzo Briner was born October 5, 1859 in Indiana and died February 8, 1936 in Chambersburg, IN.

George Ellsworth (Elmer) Briner was born June 1, 1862 in Fountain County, IN and died December 15, 1937 in Muskogee, OK.

Inez Briner was born March 27, 1865 in Indiana and died April 3, 1931 in Muskogee County, OK.

Mary Briner was born January 3, 1826 in Indiana and died May 9, 1916 in KS.  She married George Shigley May 30, 1851 in Fountain County, IN.

William H Briner was born September 26, 1828 and died January 11, 1900 in Fountain County.  He married (1) Mary Ann Stanford January 19, 1854 in Fountain County.  He married (2) Sarah Ann Guysinger July 24, 1859 in Fountain County.  He married (3) Martha Ann Robinson February 02, 1865 in Fountain County.
