Roy Francis Hoobler was born September 16, 1911 in Moulton, Loup County, NE. He died on October 4, 2010 in Canon City, CO. He was buried on October 18, 2010 in Moulton Cemetery, Loup County, Nebraska. He married Jessie Ruth Hall daughter of Joseph A. Hall and Alma E. on October 18, 1933 in Taylor, Loup County, NE. She was born on October 14, 1909 in Portia, Lawrence County, AR. She died June 14, 1995 in Sargent, Custer County, NE. She was buried June 19, 1995 in Moulton, Loup County, NE.

Roy and Ruth farmed in Loup county until 1948 when they moved the family to Boone County, AR to escape the harsh Nebraska winters for Ruth’s health. Upon retirement in 1978, Roy and Ruth returned to Sargent, NE to their beloved sand hills and enjoyed many years among kith and kin. Following Ruth’s passing in 1995, Roy spent one year with daughter Marilyn, close to grand daughter Nancy and family, in Durham, NC. He returned to Sargent for nearly three years, and in 1999 moved to Cañon City, CO to be near son Rex and family for the remainder of his life. The retired years in Sargent were a joy to Roy and Ruth. They enjoyed being able to travel, share themselves with their extended families, and gladly provided a safe haven for any family youngsters while parents were busy in town.

Nancy Denise Kisner was born in 1963 in Harrison, Boone County; AR. She married (1) Rick Cauthon on November 19, 1982 in Clinton, MO. She married (2) Terry Michael Hayes on November 25, 1995 in Dunedin, FL. Terry was born in 1963 in Dunedin, Pinellas, FL.

They had the following children:

Kayla Dawn Cauthon was born in 1987 in Sedalia, MO.
